Many of you are likely wondering how my summer classes went. Well, they went great! I got an ‘A’ in both classes. I learned a lot from both classes and had the most amazing professors for each class.
I am taking the same English Professor for my Fall classes as I did my summer classes. I am glad I decided that before taking that professor, since he is a great professor.
My summer classes proved challenging, but great. I learned how bad my time management is. I always knew I had a problem with time management, but it is brought to life when you have strict time schedules for things due. Somehow I did great in every assignment in English.
My Physical Education Class was amazing. Our professor pushed us to do what we can, but not give up and to get better on our own time!
Our PE professor made us to workouts every class and made it excited…although, I think I may have been the main person (or only person really) how actually enjoyed the class and was sad for it to end when it did!
Here is a picture of some of my classmates and a selfie with Precious, the one I spent most time with and still communicate with. 😀
Then here are these pictures. Our class played a game outside and our professor picked who was on who’s team. My one classmate Jacob and I won… and so we just HAD to take our victory pictures! Serious faces and then our real feelings. Yeah man! haha 🙂 Is it terrible that I had one from the losing team take these pictures?! (But if I remember right they asked me if I wanted help, since I am “miss short arms” and everyone else was taller…)
My professor mainly motivated me to go to the gym myself, but also to actually workout on our own and not keep giving excuses why we aren’t. Our college has a free gym for all students and so he made us use the equipment, free weights, etc in a couple of our lessons, so it took away my fear (or most of my fear) of going into the gym and working out. The bar weights are still a but intimidating, since last time I used it to do bar squats, I couldn’t even put it back, since I did too many workouts before using it. It was embarrassing, as I asked a random guy to help me, since I couldn’t lift it at all to put it back.
I realized that I like free weight workouts, but with those especially you need to be careful to keep perfect form. Of course, no matter what workout you are doing you need to have correct form.
English class was amazing as well. In fact the last two blog posts were from my school essays. 🙂 I did other essays that I felt like I did not or have not yet made into blog posts. I still have two food recipes to make for food posts. For those waiting, thank you for your patience!
I had the most amazing professor for my English professor and he helped me to be wayyyy more confident in my writing skills and not be so blank what to write about. He was encouraging, but also told you like it was. He was clear with what I needed to work on and was always willing to email and discuss things or answer questions. He also ended some of his work with smile faces. He explained in the beginning of the semester he wanted to write as if he was talking to your face, so to put up a smile face is what he would be doing. He is happy, so he would be smiling in person. He is very professional, but he also may use humor in his work, which makes writing and doing the class work more interesting and exciting. I wrote essays that actually sounded intelligent and professional; something I never thought I could ever do! I love writing now and like being able to express myself. Of course, sometimes I go blank, then get discouraged, start thinking writing is terrible, and want to give up on it…But, I always have something or someone that helps me back up and I know I just need to keep at it! In the end, it always proves that I love writing and I am thankful for the professor I have and for all the practice I am getting in! The end result of reading what I have just created with my own mind and my keyboard (or pen, depending on the situation) is always such a joy.
Summer classes were speeded up, but amazing. I meet some amazing people and learned a bunch of new stuff about fitness, health, writing, and about myself. 🙂
