Many of you know that through the years I have gotten more and more health conscious.
Yes, it is hard when my older sister does most of the cooking. She usually is the one who picks out what we eat. Apparently we don’t agree on what is and is not the best to eat.
Alright, so right now I try and cut out foods that I can from my diet.
One of the main things I stopped, was drinking soda! I have started trying to eat/ cook with natural (raw) sugars and am trying to eliminate candy from my life (this is a duh, for being unhealthy and just plain JUNK FOOD). That being said I do eat candy once in a while…thankfully we don’t have it around a lot! It is still hard for me…Sugar is my main weakness…I have a big sweet tooth. (Sigh 🙁 ) So, which makes me think that I need to make candies with good stuff. Ohhh, I found a homemade “Peppermint Patties”, made with coconut oil, peppermint essential oil and chocolate…Doesn’t that sounds lovely!?
It is a slow progress, but I am doing what I can for my health, and I hope that it encourages my family to consider eating differently as well!
My main weakness is… ice cream. Oh, it is so amazing, sweet, and cool! Such a wonderful dessert during the summer time.
I am going to make some sometime with all natural (raw) ingredients.
One the top of my head…Peppermint Essential Oil, organic chocolate, some type of natural sweetener, and raw cream. Ahhh, sounds AMAZING right now. ^_^

I am a HUGE advocate for drinking Raw (Fresh) Milk. It is filled with healthy, natural probiotics, fat and bacteria! (Yes, bacteria…not all bacteria is bad…this is the GOOOOOD stuff y’all!)
Oh, and it has such amazing, creamy, rich and absolutely amazing flavour! I could go on and on about about the benefits of Raw Milk, but that will just have to be saved for another post.
I am also starting to eat oatmeal/ other healthy breakfasts for breakfast as well. Homemade Healthy Yummy Granola anyone?
What got me start looking into eating more natural and real foods?
Well, it was a combination of friends telling me about their success doing so, general research online, in books, general discussions with others about healthy and non-healthy foods, etc.
So here I am, starting this journey of eating clean (or trying too!). Please, come and join me on my crazy adventure. I am sure it will be a ton fun as I share new, exciting, and healthy recipes or such like.
