Today I am starting my series on “What I Have Learned About Living on a Farm” and I hope you will join me on this adventure!
To start off I am talking about Prayer!
Prayer is one of the most important things I have learned living on a farm. There are so many stories I could share with y’all.
So let me just tell you the story of my one goats named Demi’s Buddy (since he is the Buddy of our breeder buck).
It all started one random cold day, my sister came in with a newborn goat kid saying he needed to be bottle feed as the mother rejected him. I had bottle feed many kids before him.
We kept them inside for the warmth. He was an extremely sweet baby. After prayer, sleepless nights, and tears…he survived and thrived! He continued to be healthy and I was so thankful that he didn’t die.
There was another kid his age that was born when he was…but he died. It was rough, but Demi’s Buddy was alive and well! Praise the Lord!
Here is a picture of him. Isn’t he one handsome fellow? (The white one is the one that passed away, sadly.)My point in this post is to show you that through everything- the good and the bad of farm living- we need to pray to God. Without God I would be insane. I am so thankful for prayer, to be able to talk and pour my heart out to God.
So, have you been taught more about the importance of prayer living on your farm? Have you been more fervent in prayer after starting to farm?
I’d love to hear your answers and perhaps your own stories you want to share, below. 🙂
